How to get to Versailles from Paris and how do the gardens look like



Versailles is at approximately 20 km from Paris and in order to get there you can take RER C train , SNCF train , bus or car. The most popular route is that with the RER C train Line C5  Versailles-Rive Gauche from one of the following stations: Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel, Gare d’Austerlitz, Musee d’Orsay, Invalides, St Michel-Notre Dame  . Depending on what parts of the gardens you want to see you can pay between and 7 and 30 Euro.



As opposed to the palace, the gardens are not busy at all. You can see everywhere musical fountains, flowers and sculptures. If you want to see all the hidden corners you will need more than a few hours and good shoes. You can rent bikes, little trains, boats or Segways.
