Happy Bastille Day!

Because a few days ago France celebrated  its National Day – Bastille Day, we couldn’t help saying a few words about that. All those who found themselves  in Paris  on 14 July were surrounded by fireworks, decorations, concerts and military parades.

Bastille Day is held every year since 1880 and the places to be are: the famous boulevard Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe - for the military parade andTour Eiffel- for the fireworks and concerts.

Even though “Bastille” was once used as a prison , the storming of it became a symbol of liberty , equality  and fraternity for all the French citizens. Like every year, France had an impressive military parade on the Champs-Élysées.

The horizon of French capital was colored in blue, white and red, the colors of the flag of France by the Republic’s elite aircraft. Bastille Day festivities ended with great fireworks and concerts echoed through the streets of Paris until after midnight.

So whether you were in Paris or not, let’s all raise a glass of wine  and say “Cheers” or “Happy Bastille Day” to France!
