The subway stations (metro stations) located close to the Eiffel Tower are : Bir-Hakeim, Ecole Militaire and Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel. Because the lines for the elevators were huge, we took the ticket for the stairs. That went very easy and in just a few minutes we were in. At some point while climbing the 700 steps we saw the elevator going up. It was filled with people and we were happy with choosing the stairs. Later, while our legs were trembling from so many steps, we started regretting the choice. Lucky for us we had some sandwiches and water which gave us some strength. However we saw the tower from every possible angle and made tens of photos from every floor.
