Every Summer Saint Tropez “returns” to life. The streets are once more filled with tourists – up to 100.000 visitors a day, some rich and others filthy rich. Every year celebrities from all over the world choose this place for their vacation and are seen sun bathing on some yacht or having lunch in the expensive restaurants from Saint Tropez. We started walking on the streets of Saint Tropez, trying to discover what makes this place a magnet for the tourists.

Old part of the town seen from the port
Not far from the port we could see the beaches, great for enjoying a lazy and sunny day .
Clothes are there optional and many people decide to leave them in the hotel room and try the “nude look”, very popular in Saint Tropez.
Small beach from St.Tropez
If you get too tired of the sun you can rent a boat/yacht or try some of the many beach clubs and cocktail bars, renowned for their atmosphere, drinks and parties.
Boats and yachts in Saint Tropez
Heading away from the port and the beaches we were surrounded by designer stores, very hard to ignore. Armani, Dior, Luis, Vuiton are just some of the brands we could find in Saint Tropez.
Close to the Old Port we ran into a luxurious manor house with private garden and a pool which serves as the Chanel summer quarters. In front of the store- a crowd of paparazzi.
Paparazzi in St Tropez
As it turns out, Paris Hilton was also in Saint Tropez and wanted to do some shopping and of course the paparazzi spotted her .So we “blended in” with everybody else and tried to take some photos.
Paris Hilton shopping in St.Tropez
That was the first time we saw Paris Hilton in Saint Tropez, but not the last.
Our second experience with Paris Hilton was in front of a club. If you’re into clubs, here are some of the most famous clubs from Saint Tropez: Les Caves du Roy, VIP Room, Papagayo. Some of them are very strict so unless you are very famous or strikingly beautiful, trying to share the club with Paris Hilton can be very difficult. We didn’t have the time and energy to stand in line and get in, so we just took some lousy pictures of her.

St-Tropez is not only famous for its nightlife and designer stores, but also for the old part of the town. The charm of this place is given by the narrow side streets filled with restaurants, bazaars and souvenir shops.

We got lost on these colored streets of the old Saint Tropez and tried some specialties of the area: seafood, tarts and ice cream.
